The interior of the villa has a lovely atmosphere which is both gracious and welcoming. The elegant living room, with splendid frescoed walls and ceilings is a reminder of a time gone by, while the second living room is more easy. There is a big country-style kitchen, and the huge covered porch is perfect for alfresco dining. The pretty garden and the small private pool, with charming country views, are perfect for summer lounging.
The friendly owner lives on the first floor in a completely private part of the villa and can provide meals on request. Close to Montespertoli, the 'city of wine', and within easy reach of Florence, this property lies in a roadside hamlet within walking distance of a locai restaurant. Almost half way between Florence and Siena, and a little off the normal beaten track, this is a pretty region, with plenty of charming villages to discover.
Local shopping are found in nearby Fiano, just a short drive away. A visit to the tiny hilltop borgo of Certaldo Alto is very worthwhile, while to the south west, cutting across country in the general direction of Volterra, there are miles of stunning open countryside, dotted with tiny hamlets and restaurants. From here, you can also visit San Gimignano and spectacular Siena.
